Using dojo/google gears we can get offline support. From what I hear they're working on implementing SQL lite in a future version, which sounds pretty neat. We should do this after the public release.

We can use data: URIs to get the embed + download the files on the desktop. The only issue is that it's not supported by IE at all :( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data:_URI_scheme
